The Economist’s Global Energy Conversation

A Live Wavecast® on two occassions of a distributed global panel of energy industry leaders debating the future of energy via Cisco’s Telepresence.

Panellist were situated in Shaghai, Singapore and London for the first event and Washington, Sao Paulo and London for the second.

By all accounts the event was a huge success with participation and engagement reaching over 50 different countries during the live broadcast.

MTV Smokescreen

MTV and Carat, working for the EU, launched an innovative digital project that involved following smokers around Europe trying to quit.

In addition to their video diary posts, quitters uploaded images and made twitter style status updates including a rating on their “temptation to smoke” (a %) on a day to day basis.

The nationalities of the 10 Quitters were Hungarian, Danish, German, Spanish and British. All speaking in their native languages.

IP designed, developed and delivered the project in 22 different languages.

Panasonic 2012 – LIVE Wavecast

Panasonic hosted an event down in Trafalgar Square with Captial Radio and The Metro newspaper to showcase their new 3D TV’s and to celebrate the 2 years to go anniversary til the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Given Panasonic’s culture of technical innovation they were keen to do something different surrounding a live broadcast and to open up access to the event to the widest possible audience.

A solution which allowed users to participate online via social media channels was a key requirement. Consequently, the entire event was delivered through Wavecast Pro platform and was a fantastic success.

Sony Ericsson – Space Hoppers

Live streaming of space hoppers being inflated via Twitter in a secret warehouse!

IP have worked with Dare Digital on a range of award winning projects over the years and one particular project which we are often asked about is the “Space Hoppers” live stream.

This involved broadcasting live from a secret location space hoppers being inflated via twitter. When a user #tagged “pumpt” the tweet was pulled into a system which based on some clever algorithms incrementally increased a space hopper by a unit of air.
